A free library · The Ecosystem

Common Knowledge.

Four courses and a podcast archive, free for every member of the Ecosystem. Physics and Ayurveda, sound and sacred geometry: different doors into the same old question of how the living world fits together, and how you fit into it.

Why a commons

Knowledge that belongs to everyone.

A lakeside village at dusk, its windows lit, boats tied at the dock

In an old village, the commons was the meadow everyone could use. You could graze a cow there, gather firewood, or sit under the big oak at the edge and watch the evening come in. Nobody owned it, and everybody looked after it.

This library works the same way. The five elements, the rhythm of a day, the shape of space, the sound of your own voice: these ideas are old, and they belong to everyone. So this corner of the Ecosystem is free.

It’s also where I nerd out the most. What I’m good at is making little video lessons and getting excited about how reality works. This is where that lives.

What’s inside

Four courses and a podcast archive.

A drop of water on a fern, splitting forest light into a rainbow6 short lessons · about an hour

Inner Physics

Five laws of nature that shape galaxies, trees and the psyche alike. Space has shape. Energy moves in doughnut-shaped fields, from galaxies to the heart. Systems hold together at every scale. And the kindest survive. Built on Buckminster Fuller, with the name borrowed from Richard Schwartz.

An old oak on a hillside at sunrise6 lessons · about 2¾ hours

Essence of Ayurveda

Ayurveda as living wisdom. The five elements, the three doshas (a hummingbird, a tiger and an elephant), and how their rhythms move through a lifetime, a year and a single day.

A hawk over a windswept upland meadow with a standing stone4 lessons and a practice · about 2 hours

The Power of Sound

In Ayurveda, sound is the first of the subtle elements, which makes your own voice the oldest instrument you own. Learn low toning, open vowels carried down through the body on a full out-breath, then follow a 30-minute guided session.

Multi Dimensional Essentials

Geometry, physics and Vedic philosophy at the same table. From a single dot to the five Platonic solids to the shape of your own field, it asks how the subtle stuff of consciousness might take shape as the world you can touch.

A forest trail opening toward snowy mountains5 conversations

Podcast Library

Long talks with podcast hosts about change, Ayurveda, integrity and the space between chapters, from The Energy Blueprint to From the Ashes. Good company on a walk.

Where to begin

Start with what tugs at you.

There’s no right order and no finish line. Here are four ways in.

  1. 01

If you want something to try tonight

Start with The Power of Sound. Five minutes of low toning, morning and evening, is plenty.

  2. 02

If your days feel out of rhythm

Start with Essence of Ayurveda, and skip ahead to the lesson on the Ayurvedic day if you like.

  3. 03

If you love a big question

Start with Inner Physics. When you want the long version, settle in with Multi Dimensional Essentials.

  4. 04

If you think best on your feet

Start with the Podcast Library. Put one on and go for a walk.

Good to know

Is it really free?

Yes. Membership in the Ecosystem is free, and every member can open the Common Knowledge library. There’s nothing to buy and nothing renews.

Do I need to know anything first?

Not a thing. Every course starts at the beginning, and new words get explained on the spot. You can start anywhere.

Where do I find it once I join?

In the Ecosystem’s menu, under Common Knowledge. Each course is its own space, so you can wander from one to another.

Is this medical advice?

No. Ayurveda and sound practice are shared here as traditional practices and as my own experience, for reflection and self-care. If something about your health worries you, please talk with a health professional.

How is it different from the Threshold Library?

Common Knowledge is free for every member. The Threshold Library ($22 a month) keeps the three Threshold Book programs, Space Craft, Astro 101 and the Self-Care Kit, open after your 60 days.

Step onto the commons

Free for members. Membership is free.

Make your free profile in the Ecosystem, Ecotone Academy’s online community. It takes about a minute, and the library is waiting in the menu under Common Knowledge.
